WWE Superstars Slam the Bowlo

One of the hottest entertainment tickets in Australia in February was WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth and Special Olympics Australia athletes were gifted seats by WWE.

Not only that, four WWE Superstars – Drew McIntyre (Special Olympics Global Ambassador), LA Knight, Australian Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae, plus WWE host Mike Rome – took time out before the big event to meet our athletes and enjoy a real Aussie experience – an afternoon of lawn bowls and a sausage sizzle under the sun.

So, there were plenty of excited athletes at Elimination Chamber when vision of them playing lawn bowls with the Superstars was shown on the big screen at halftime – in front of 53,000 people at Optus Stadium. But that was nothing compared to the cheers from Drew’s Crew when Drew – their new lawn bowls buddy – won the contest!

WWE Superstars regularly take part in local activations with Special Olympics athletes and our athletes loved the opportunity to play host in Australia.
