HUNDREDS OF DREAMS COME TRUE
At the heart of the 2018 SOAR & ROAR Festival are the Dream Rides, where Special Olympics Australia athletes and other people with an intellectual disability have the chance to experience the thrill of driving in a luxury or classic car.
In 2018, the morning rides will see 460 Dream Rides featuring seven iconic car brands depart from seven locations throughout NSW, arriving at Sydney Motorsport Park.
Throughout the afternoon, cars will continue to roar around Sydney Motorsport Park, giving people with an intellectual disability the thrill of a lap at Australia's home of motorsport.
Each car brand participates in fundraising for Special Olympics Australia, with the highest fundraiser leading the lap of honour around Sydney Motorsport Park.
Aston Martin30 Aston Martin cars travelled from Archibald Fountain in Hyde Park to Sydney Motorsport Park.
Corvette30 Corvette cars travelled from Blues Point Reserve, North Sydney to Sydney Motorsport Park.
Hot Rods30 Hot Rods travelled from River Road Reserve, Penrith to Sydney Motorsport Park.
Lamborghini30 Lamborghini cars travelled from Mrs Macquarie's Chair to Sydney Motorsport Park.
Lotus30 Lotus cars travelled from North Styne Surf Club in Manly to Sydney Motorsport Park.
Morgan20 Morgan cars travelled from Broughton Street, Kirribilli to Sydney Motorsport Park.
Mustang30 Mustang cars travelled from Lilianfels Park in the Blue Mountains to Sydney Motorsport Park.
