Upskilled Special Olympics Sydney South Annual Charity Golf Day

Online Educator Upskilled is proud to support the Special Olympics Sydney South Annual Charity Golf Day for the fourth year in a row.

“We’re excited and proud to be part of this fun and rewarding day. The day will see local businesses get together in a relaxed, informal setting to socialise, network and raise some much-needed funds to support athletes with an intellectual disability to achieve their best through sport,” says Upskilled founder, Joel Gage.

The event kicks off at Cronulla Golf Club, on Monday, November 26th, 2018, for a shotgun start at 12:30pm, after registration from 11am.

Teams of four will play an 18-hole, four-ball Ambrose competition on the day. They will also enjoy a barbecue lunch and have beverages on the course throughout the day. There’ll also be a presentation ceremony in the afternoon.

“We are very proud to support Special Olympics,” explains Gage. “We strongly believe that athletes with a disability deserve the same chances as everyone else, to participate in the sports that they love.”

Upskilled is an online college where students can choose from over 100 courses in everything from business to information technology and community services. It focuses on providing flexible, accessible education to thousands of Australians, in a way that allows them to balance their study and personal goals.

“Being a part of our community, and fundraising for Special Olympics is such an important part of our calendar,” says Gage. “We would love if people would join us on the day. You can join as a single player, or play in a team of four. It’s for such a special cause.”

“Our involvement since the year 2015 has just seen numbers grow each year, something that we are immensely happy about.”
